Immediately Job Description MAUSD's Expanded Learning Program is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our summer camp team. The School Nurse will be responsible for managing the health and well-being of our students, ensuring a safe and healthy camp environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific health needs.
• Provide direct healthcare services to students, including first aid, emergency care, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Conduct health assessments
• Collaborate with camp administrators, and other camp staff to promote a healthy camp environment.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and school district policies.
• Participate in emergency response planning and training.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and move students as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.

Work Environment:

• School-based setting with frequent interaction with students, staff, and parents.
• May be exposed to infectious diseases and other health risks.
• This is a full time, 8am to 4pm, M-F position, dates are 6/25 - 7/31, and camp is held at Beeman Elementary, in New Haven The hourly rate ranges from $38.

63 to $63.65 based on the candidate's level of education and years of relevant experience and according to the collective bargaining agreement for instructional staff.
