Job Description

About the Role Global Security Services (GSS) is seeking a highly qualified, mission-driven Lead Non-Clinical Nurse Case Manager to support the Vermont Army National Guard (VTARNG) Office of the Deputy State Surgeon. This is a "dual-hatted" leadership role where you will manage standard caseloads while serving as the primary Contract Manager and point of contact for the Government. Performance is 100% on-site at the VTARNG State Medical Detachment, Green Mountain Armory, Camp Johnson. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 0730-1630, with a requirement to support approximately seven (7) weekend soldier readiness events annually (managed via flexible scheduling).
Key Responsibilities Case Lifecycle Management:
Coordinate all aspects of non-clinical care for individual Service Members to promote fitness, personal wellness, and operational deployment readiness.
System Tracking & Documentation:
Establish and maintain automated eCase profiles within 1 business day of referral, and complete accurate medical charting/documentation within 3 business days of encounter.
Board Preparation:
Review, reconcile, and prepare hardcopy and electronic records for Medical Evaluation Boards (MEB) and Physical Evaluation Boards (PEB).
Contract Leadership:
Act as the single designated Key Personnel and Contract Manager on-site. Oversee a small team consisting of 2 Nurse Case Managers and 2 Medical Records Technicians, ensuring total timeline compliance and reporting excellence.
Stakeholder Liaison:
Coordinate bi-weekly with the lead medical provider on complex files and participate in monthly case reviews with VTARNG Commands.
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications Licensure:
Must possess a current, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN). A multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license with valid privileges to practice in Vermont is fully acceptable.
Clinical Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical or case management experience.
Supervisory Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or team lead experience in a clinical or case management setting (for a total of at least 4 years of professional nursing experience).
Citizenship & Security:
Must be a U.S. Citizen capable of passing a Tier 1 background investigation (NACI) to successfully obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and network access.
Education:
Completion of an accredited nursing program. Preferred Qualifications (Highly Valued) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher. Current Certified Case Manager (CCM) credential or equivalent. Documented, recent experience (within the past 5 years) directly utilizing military medical readiness systems such as MEDCHART, eCase, MEDPROS, AHLTA, or
MHS GENESIS

Selected candidates will be asked to submit a comprehensive 2-page resume and sign a Letter of Commitment (LOC) to be submitted with our bidding package. This LOC is strictly contingent upon contract award and is completely non-binding if the contract is not awarded to GSS.
