Job Description Description PeaceHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - Recovery Room for a Full-Time (0.90 FTE), Variable shift position.
Compensation:
The hourly pay range for this role is $45.78 - $82.98 , depending on factors such as education, training, experience, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and seniority. This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement , and multiple openings may be available .
Important:
This is a Vacation Relief role with no set schedule pattern . Hiring bonus and relocation assistance may be available. About the Role As a Recovery Room RN, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with professional nursing standards and unit protocols. You will play a vital role in fostering a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment that supports patients, families, and the care team. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record Delegate and coordinate care with other team members based on scope and competency Maintain professional knowledge through ongoing education and development Participate in quality improvement, safety, and infection prevention initiatives Support and uphold hospital policies, procedures, and standards Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (required) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Experience Minimum 2 years of recent Phase I PACU experience in an acute care setting -OR- 2 years of recent ICU experience Proven expertise in managing: Airway emergencies (e.g., laryngospasm, obstruction, stridor, arrest) Hemodynamically unstable patients Credentials Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (required) Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of age-specific care across the lifespan Ability to foster a positive, patient- and family-centered environment Effective communication and interpersonal skills Understanding of hospital policies and procedures Basic computer proficiency Working Conditions Patient handling up to 35 lbs. (with assistive devices as appropriate) Frequent pushing/pulling up to 45 lbs. Ability to perform CPR (20 minutes, 100-125 lbs. force) Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and movement Exposure to biohazards, body fluids, and a dynamic, sometimes noisy environment Why PeaceHealth?
