The ideal candidate will have neonatal care experience and be comfortable caring for newborns in a Level II NICU environment while also supporting postpartum patients as needed.

Between SCN and Postpartum Local and Travel Candidates Accepted Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of RN NICU experience required Current AHA BLS certification required Current NRP certification required Level II NICU experience preferred Postpartum experience preferred Must be skilled in attending deliveries as the baby nurse Experience with neonatal IV starts and maintenance required Experience assisting with umbilical line placement and maintenance preferred Experience with Bubble CPAP and High Flow Oxygen therapy required

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong neonatal assessment and critical care skills Ability to care for newborns with respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, sepsis, neonatal withdrawal syndrome, and feeding/growing needs Experience stabilizing and transferring infants to higher levels of care Ability to manage neonatal IV therapy, D5W, and TPN infusions Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-family education skills Ability to adapt between Special Care Nursery and Postpartum assignments
