Travel Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery

Summary As a Labor and Delivery Nurse with GLC Group, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns during one of the most critical times in their lives. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery. Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to ensure the safety of both mother and child. Assist with labor management techniques and pain relief options. Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care. Educate patients on childbirth processes, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery. Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients. Document patient information accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support new parents by providing emotional support and guidance during their hospital stay. Qualifications Current RN license with experience in labor and delivery nursing. Strong knowledge of infection control practices and trauma medicine protocols. Familiarity with MDS standards is preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Experience in home care or urgent care settings is a plus. Requirements Must have WA RN License or Compact License Must have Level 1 Nursery experience Must live more than 50 miles from Ellensburg, WA Guaranteed Hours 36 hours per week

Required:

•Graduate of an accredited nursing program & currently licensed in the State of Washington •Current BLS-AHA for Healthcare Providers card (maintenance required)

Preferred Qualifications:

One to two years of previous clinical experience preferred in appropriate nursing area Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) NRP within 6 months of hire (maintenance required) STABLE within 6 months of hire (maintenance required every two years) ACLS within 12 months of hire (maintenance required)

Fetal Monitoring:

AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Intermediate Course or higher within 6 months of hire (maintenance required every two years) or C-EFM (maintenance required every three years)
