Job Description

Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in speech language pathology to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in grades 6 through 12 during the 2026-2027 school year. Enjoy meaningful work with a diverse caseload of 70-80 students while making a positive impact on students' communication abilities and overall educational experience. In this role, you will collaborate with the Director of Special Education and work closely with educators, families, and community partners. You'll provide both direct and indirect services, utilizing assessment and evaluation tools to identify student needs, develop individualized education plans, and offer ongoing consultation for student progress and success. The assignment runs from September 2, 2026, through mid-June, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Desired Background and Skills:
Active Washington State Speech Language Pathologist license required Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and/or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcomed Experience working with students who have special education needs, particularly within school or pediatric settings Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of the special education process and disability categories Talent for building positive, professional relationships with staff, students, and families Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to blend expertise with humor, lightheartedness, and a supportive approach to student services
