Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Embark on an impactful contract opportunity to support student health across a thriving district as a skilled Registered Nurse. This full-time position extends from late August 2026 through June 2027, offering the unique chance to collaborate directly with both middle and high school populations. As the district's designated onsite healthcare professional, you'll provide essential, compassionate care and health management throughout the academic year.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current, unencumbered RN license valid in Washington State Experience in school nursing or working with children/adolescents strongly preferred Solid clinical assessment, triage, and care coordination skills Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Comfortable traveling throughout the school district, primarily serving middle and high schools Able to quickly adapt to changing caseloads and priorities as district needs evolve
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver school nursing services such as first aid, emergency response, and chronic condition management Support IEP/504 health plans and collaborate in educational planning for students with health concerns Maintain accurate health records in accordance with district procedures and legal requirements Educate students and staff on health, wellness, and disease prevention initiatives Serve as a liaison between the district, families, and community healthcare providers Uphold confidentiality, ethical practice, and compliance with all policies and regulations This contract role allows you to make a difference within a positive, student-focused environment, with the support of dedicated educators and staff.
