Job Description

Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting middle and high school students as a contract Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. In this dynamic education setting, you'll deliver comprehensive services to a caseload of 70-80 students between grades 6-12, working under the guidance of the Director of Special Education. This opportunity runs from September 2nd, 2026 through mid-June, at 37.5 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
Active Washington SLP license required ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome Experience with pediatric therapy, healthcare, and/or school-based SLP services Demonstrated commitment to serving students with special needs and their families Skilled in assessment, evaluation, and consultation with diverse student populations Ability to infuse enthusiasm, humor, and a positive spirit into daily interactions Strong relationship-building skills with staff, families, and community partners Expertise in all phases of the special education process; knowledge of procedures and disability categories Capacity to effectively plan, organize, and implement special education identification and interventions Excellent communication, active listening, and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
