- Temporary, Contract Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide healthcare services to students enrolled at a federal Job Corps Center.
The RN will deliver primary nursing care, assess and treat minor illnesses and injuries, administer medications, coordinate referrals, provide health education, and maintain accurate medical records while working collaboratively with physicians, counselors, and other healthcare professionals. This position serves young adults ages 16-24 in a residential education and career training environment.

Schedule:
Day Shift | Monday-Friday Responsibilities Provide nursing assessments and basic medical treatment for students. Administer medications and treatments according to physician standing orders. Conduct routine sick call and evaluate students with medical concerns. Coordinate referrals to physicians, specialists, hospitals, and community providers. Monitor student health conditions and provide follow-up care. Maintain accurate electronic and paper medical documentation. Assist with emergency response and crisis intervention. Educate students on wellness, hygiene, sexual health, disease prevention, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles. Participate in health screenings, compliance assessments, and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Collaborate with physicians, mental health counselors, and center staff to promote student wellness. Minimum Qualifications Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state where services are provided. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current CPR/BLS certification. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to pass federal background screening. Preferred Qualifications Experience in adolescent, public health, school health, correctional, behavioral health, or community health settings. Experience with electronic medical records. Experience working with underserved populations.
