  • Registered Nurse Shift-6am-2:30pm Contract-5weeks Guarantee hrs-40hrs/week Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care across diverse healthcare settings.
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, including acute care, long-term care, and specialized medical procedures. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. Your expertise in medical documentation, patient assessment, and clinical procedures will contribute significantly to our commitment to high-quality healthcare delivery. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management in accordance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, tube feeding, and sterile dressing changes while maintaining aseptic technique. Monitor patients' physiological status in various environments including ICU, emergency room, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities; manage airway and ventilator support as needed. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans for patients with complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, or chronic illnesses like geriatrics or dementia care. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records ensuring compliance with ICD coding standards (ICD-9/ICD-10) and other regulatory requirements. Provide education and health coaching to patients and their families regarding disease management, medication administration, and post-discharge care planning. Maintain infection control standards and ensure the safety of all clinical procedures through rigorous adherence to hospital protocols. Requirements Valid nursing license (RN) in the respective state or country with current certification. Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care units (ICU), or post-acute settings including hospice & palliative medicine. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to patient assessment and treatment. Experience performing advanced procedures including IV insertion, phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheter care, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with specialty areas such as cardiology (cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (including OCT imaging), pediatrics (neonatal ventilator), or behavioral health is advantageous. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams across various settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, outpatient clinics, or hospital units. Excellent communication skills with the capacity to triage patients efficiently during urgent situations; experience in trauma medicine or Level I/II trauma centers is preferred. Knowledge of infection control practices aligned with NCQA standards; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate documentation is essential.
