Pay Range:
The base pay range for this position is $42.43
  • 83.
95 Hourly however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • MSU/ICU Work Schedule Availability:
    Full-time (3 days a week) or Part-time (2 days a week), 12-hour shifts from 7am
  • 7:30pm or 7pm
  • 7:30am.

Position Overview:
The registered nurse is a clinical practitioner who implements and coordinates patient care specific to the patient population served. Ensures that quality care is provided in an effective and safe manner consistent with the hospital's policies and procedures and within the scope of the practice established by the State of Washington. Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pullman Regional Hospital, the relationship-based care guiding principles, the philosophy of care, goals of the unit and organization, and demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice. The Critical Care RN will be expected to provide nursing team support in Code response and assistance in critical situations hospital wide. Critical Care RN's may cross train and float to additional departments in order to remain productive, yet available in-house for emergencies, when the unit volumes do not necessitate the need for full staffing. Critical care patient volumes in this community do not support a fully staffed critical care area at all times, so in order to maintain highly trained RN staff in the hospital around the clock, critical care staff and beds will be utilized to provide overflow support for all patient levels of care. Staffing assignments will be adjusted accordingly, as patient care intensity changes. A Day in the
Life:
Planning and prioritizing through professional delivery of nursing care with the goal of safe and effective patient care. Information gathering to formulate a patient care delivery plan based on nursing assessment, utilizing evidenced based practices. Decision-making based upon appropriate stewardship and professional nursing judgment, to establish an effective plan of care for each individual patient. Communication and collaboration to promote a therapeutic relationship with patients and colleagues. Maintains a professional attitude. Teamwork, actively promotes and contributes to a positive work environment. Encourages equitable division of workload.
Personal Education:
Accountable to stay current with the changes in professional nursing and hospital policy. Completion of regulatory and departmental annual competencies within the timeframe set by the organization. Accountable to demonstrate work effectiveness through safe completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner. Uses appropriate delegation to assist in patient care.
Reliability and Quality:
Follow high reliability practices set by the organization and report safety concerns. Active participation in quality improvement projects throughout the organization to support a safe work environment. About You! This Job is For You if
You Have:
Maintain nursing licensure, in good standing, acceptable in the State of Washington. BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications completed within 3 months of hire. Four (4) hours of Trauma education every 3 years (active TNCC is acceptable) to meet Level 4 Trauma requirements. Eight (8) hours of Stroke specific education, annually to meet Acute Stroke Ready designation requirements. Completion of a BSN program within one (1) year of hire. NIHSS certification within six (6) months of hire. Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for a Registered Nurse. Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for specific department. Demonstrates the ability to learn, apply, and individualize new patient care skills and uses new equipment safely. You Have:
PCCN or CCRN. Two years of Acute Care hospital experience. One year of telemetry experience.
