Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in education as a skilled nurse supporting students' growth and wellbeing in a vibrant school environment near Renton, WA. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to collaborate closely with educators, students, and families, fostering a healthy and positive learning atmosphere. Your expertise as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) will help ensure the safety and care of a diverse student population.
Key Qualifications:
Active Washington state RN or LPN/LVN license in good standing Prior school nursing or pediatric experience preferred Strong assessment, triage, and communication skills Familiarity with IEPs/504s, medication administration, and emergency response protocols Ability to work independently and adapt to dynamic school settings Current CPR/BLS certification required
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care to students, including medication administration and first aid Manage and implement care plans for chronic conditions and special medical needs Monitor student health, maintain accurate health records, and document interventions Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers Participate in the development of health policies and emergency preparedness Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives within the school community
