Job Description:
Responsible for the development and administration of efficient and professional operations of occupational health services in accordance with company policies, practices, procedures and applicable regulations to achieve the desired goals and objectives. Assist with all aspects of health services, staffing, competency, processes, customer service, and quality improvement.
Principal Accountabilities:
Plan and prepare work instructions that provide direction to mechanical and contract maintenance organizations projects and implementation of modifications. Select and approve purchase or make procurement recommendations for all materials needed for work package execution. Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities and to provide input for refining and improving work package quality. Interface and collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to identify and resolve work package issues. Define procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials required to performing planned work packages. Facilitate package preparation by preparing and/or submitting OOS's, RWP's, plant barrier impairments, welding/grinding permits, fire impairments, Operability impact statements, ALARA task outs, Regulatory/Code documentation, Quality hold/witness points, freeze seal and temporary leak repair documentation, and other requests. Verify work instructions are adequate and comply with all applicable station procedures including NSP's, NSWP's, ASME Code, etc. Approve and review all required work packages to ensure safety, high quality, technical rigor, and 10CFR50.59 screening or evaluation (if required).Develop revise, and review maintenance procedures to facilitate and enhance work package development, maintain compliance with codes, standards, and vendor recommendation, and maintenance direction. Provide project management of other system planners or contractors to develop detailed elements of overall package preparation. Participate in work control/scheduling meetings, planning feedback/craft interface time, detailed contract requisition reviews, complex troubleshooting, Maintenance risk, Clearance Order reviews, Planner peer reviews, and system interaction reviews to ensure applicable station processes and applicable changes are supported.

Nursing Skills:
Knowledge in current nursing care and treatment of injuries and illnesses. In-depth knowledge in obtaining history and physical components for physical assessments. Working knowledge of state and federal regulations as they relate to occupational safety and health. Working knowledge of workers? compensation management.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as occupational health instructions, industrial safety manuals, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and department correspondence.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Computer Skills:
Intermediate computer skills are essential and may require use of electronic medical records.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must be detail oriented, have ability to multitask and possess great interpersonal skills. Travel to other company locations may be required.
Required Education and Experience:
Five years of nursing experience and an active state license to practice as a registered nurse in Washington State is required. Must obtain and maintain the following certifications or training within one year: Basic Life Support (BLS) training, Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COCH) certification, and NIOSH Approved Spirometry & Respiratory training. Education may be substituted for up to four years of the experience requirement. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing with a certification in occupational health nursing, certification in occupational health & safety, or case management preferred.
