What you'll do: Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment record Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a treatment plan, and resident response to medication regime with prompt notification to the physician of any adverse reactions Keeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly/disposing Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures What we're looking for: Current active license as a Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of employment Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as lift/push/pull 50lbs Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred Why us: Our Nursing Staff care for a geriatric population that depends on consistent, knowledgeable, and compassionate care.
