2 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) position at a Magnet-designated academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of oncology experience and COVID vaccination. Details 7NE BMT unit — a 30-bed inpatient unit specializing in the care of adult patients undergoing blood and marrow transplantation in partnership with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Medical oncology float to unit 8SA (same patient population, non-BMT) possible based on staffing needs Day and night rotating/variable shifts (3x12s); days 7:00-19:00, nights 19:30-7:30 Every other weekend required Block scheduling is not available Floating between like units is required No on-call responsibilities Patient ratio experience of 1:3 or 1:4 preferred; 1:5 may be considered Charts using Epic (experience preferred but not required) Requirements Active WA RN license or compact license equivalent; proof of pending WA license may be considered Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required At least 2 travel experiences beyond initial hospital employment required Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions Additional Information Provides complex inpatient nursing care to adult oncology patients undergoing bone marrow and blood transplantation Facility is a Magnet-designated academic teaching center with 637 staffed beds First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted RTO may not be requested during orientation week; please keep RTO requests to a minimum Former UW facility employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before being eligible to return as a traveler 2 professional references required for consideration Copies of certifications and state nursing license verification (including NURSYS) required for consideration
