REGISTERED
NURSE- To include Weekend shifts.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Registered Nurse provides a high level of nursing care and clinical oversight during at Tamarack Center a psychiatric adolescent residential treatment facility. The RN ensures the safety, health, and well-being of adolescent residents through direct care, medication administration, emergency response, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. This role supports documentation, treatment planning, and serves as a clinical resource to other staff.

DEGREE OF SUPERVISION
The RN meets regularly with the Nursing Director for administrative clinical and nursing supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
1 year minimum experience. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington. A valid Washington State Driver's License. BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire), Knowledge of Psychotropic medications and general nursing in behavioral health setting.
Preferred:
Experience working with adolescents in behavioral health, psychiatric, or residential treatment setting. Training or coursework in child development, adolescent adjustment, or trauma-informed care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with the individualized treatment plan and professional nursing standards. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed; document resident response and compliance. Receive, verify, and process physician orders in a timely and accurate manner. Communicate treatment changes with treatment staff. Conduct routine audits of medication administration records, physician orders, and admission documentation. Provides minor emergency care and assess resident needs during overnight shift. Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation in the electronic health records and coordinate resident appointments as required. Participate in one-on-one nursing sessions with assigned residents as appropriate. Monitor medical supplies and ensure availability of emergency materials; communicate inventory needs to the Director of Nursing Services. Serve as a clinical resource to overnight staff and participate in safety protocols and de-escalation when needed. Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment in collaboration with the milieu team. Uphold confidentiality, safety standards, and agency procedures in all aspects of care. Participate in regular supervision with the Director of Nursing Services and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Other duties as assigned within the nursing scope of practice.
Wage Range:
$37.97-60.10 per hour, based off experience.
