1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level
III NICU
position at a community hospital in Yakima, WA, requiring a minimum of 3 years of NICU experience and proficiency with ventilators and Bubble CPAP. Details 13-week travel contract in the 3N NICU unit of a 226-bed non-profit community hospital Level
III NICU
with 15 dedicated beds Patient population includes neonates from 26 weeks gestation and above, including Bubble CPAP and ventilator-dependent patients (no oscillators) Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity 12-hour day shifts (0700-1930) 36 hours per week Every other weekend rotation required as needed No on-call responsibilities Floating may be required to Mother Baby or other units as 1:1s or nurse aides to census (NACs)
EMR:
Epic Requirements Active WA RN license or compact RN license Current BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required Strong IV skills required Experience assisting with central lines (UAC, PICC, UVC) required Ventilator experience required Experience with NAS care (eat, sleep, console treatment, morphine weaning) required Familiarity with Bubble CPAP, high flow, nasal cannula, and neo puff required Pediatric experience strongly preferred Two supervisory references required prior to start (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above); one reference accepted at time of consideration Additional Information Care for premature and medically complex neonates from 26 weeks gestation and above First-time travelers will be considered for candidates with significant NICU experience Navy blue scrubs are provided; travelers may wear their own scrubs but must follow OR suite guidelines when attending deliveries Pending WA license accepted at time of consideration provided proof of application and application date are included
