Job Description

Professionally, this is a valuable opportunity for registered nurses to expand their clinical portfolio on a Med Surg Float Team. You'll deepen your knowledge across multiple specialized units, gaining exposure to a range of medical, surgical, orthopedic/neuro, cardiac, observation, inpatient rehab, and transitional care settings. This broadens your skills and sharpens adaptability, all under the guidance of diverse healthcare teams—accelerating your professional growth and enhancing your leadership potential.
Schedule/Hours:
13-week assignment Guaranteed 36-48 hours per week (minimum 36, potential for up to 48; overtime after 48 hours) 12-hour day/night variable shifts—every weekend and rotating holidays Floating as needed among like units to expand competency and comfort
Key Qualifications:
Active RN or Compact license BLS (American Heart) certification required NIHSS preferred at submission; must complete prior to end of orientation (facility-provided certification) 1-2+ years' recent Med/Surg experience Demonstrated proficiency with venipuncture and Cardizem administration Previous Epic charting within the past 2 years Strong time management, adaptability, and interpersonal skills Willingness to work every weekend and part of holiday rotation Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
