Advanced Practice Clinician (NP/PA) - Radiation Oncology Join a Progressive, Physician-Led Cancer Program in
Northeast Wisconsin Location:
Appleton and Green Bay, Wisconsin Position:
Part-Time (0.6-0.8 FTE) Northeast Wisconsin Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (NEWTRO) Northeast Wisconsin Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (NEWTRO) is a physician-owned, physician-led Radiation Oncology practice dedicated exclusively to the care of patients with cancer. We serve patients throughout Northeast Wisconsin in close partnership with Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Emplify Health by Bellin, and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Our practice is recognized for its commitment to innovation, multidisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered care. We are actively expanding disease-oriented programs across Neuro-Oncology, Breast, Thoracic, Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary, Hematologic, and Head & Neck Oncology while deploying advanced technologies including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), adaptive radiotherapy, image-guided radiation therapy, advanced neuro-imaging integration, connectomics, and clinical research initiatives. We are seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team and become an integral member of our multidisciplinary oncology program. Position Overview This role offers a unique opportunity to develop specialized expertise in Radiation Oncology while practicing within a collaborative team environment that values clinical autonomy, professional growth, and innovation. The Advanced Practice Clinician will work closely with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Radiologists, Palliative Care specialists, Oncology Navigation, and Clinical Research teams to deliver comprehensive cancer care across the continuum of treatment. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and symptom assessments
  • Perform routine and urgent on-treatment visits for patients receiving radiation therapy
  • Manage treatment-related toxicities and supportive care needs
  • Provide survivorship and long-term follow-up care for cancer patients
  • Evaluate and manage radiation-related complications and late effects
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary oncology care
  • Support same-day evaluations and urgent symptom management
  • Participate in tumor boards, quality initiatives, and program development
  • Support clinical research and educational activities
  • Ensure accurate documentation and billing compliance
Qualifications Re Managerquired:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current Wisconsin NP or PA licensure (or eligibility)
  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • BLS certification
Preferred:
  • Minimum two years of oncology, radiation oncology, hematology/oncology, neurosurgery, palliative care, or related specialty experience
  • Experience managing complex medical patients
  • Familiarity with EPIC or other electronic health record systems

6-0.8 FTE (24-32 hours per week). Clinical schedule and coverage responsibilities will be determined collaboratively based on practice needs and provider availability.
