Job Description

100% FTE, day/evening shift, Monday - Friday with hours between 7:00am - 7:30pm. Weeknight, weekend and holiday on-call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI. Be part of something remarkable! Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Inpatient Pediatric Operating Room team. In this specialized role, you will provide high‑quality perioperative nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents undergoing surgical procedures. You'll collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, techs, and Child Life specialists to ensure safe, patient‑centered care throughout the surgical experience. Serve as a pediatric circulating nurse which includes 6 OR suites, 2 procedural suites, and 1 hybrid OR. Maintain a sterile and safe operating room environment, ensuring compliance with all safety and infection control standards. Advocate for pediatric patients and their families, offering emotional support, education, and clear communication.
