Job Description

KANDU is seeking a part-time Nurse Consultant to join our team of passionate and caring people who make a difference in our community. The Nurse Consultant will aim to improve the quality of services, strengthen training and communication, and provide a skilled assessment.
Education & Licensing Requirements:
Holds a current, legal state RN or LPN license in good standing. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to travel and complete work assignments. Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing. 2-3 years' experience. Experience in healthcare management or the legal field is a plus. Must undergo a caregiver background check.Nurse Consultant Job Responsibilities:
- Enter medical information from the physical form to the general information form and the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
- Completion of medical documentation to the Medication Administration Record.
- Establish initial medication procedures for staff and observe, and determine if further training is needed.
- Provide directions to the Client Services Director and/or Client Services Managers regarding illness and injury.
- Provide at least 8 hours of supervision to Certified Nursing Assistants annually.
- Provides risk-prevention methodologies.
- Advocates and educates those under their care.
- Provide and train medication administration for all KANDU facilities and program departments.
- Assist the Client Services Manager with client intake for all KANDU facilities and programs.
- Investigate client medications and medical conditions for improved care/outcomes for the safety of client and staff members.
