1 Job Description Ascension St. Francis Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) to join its perioperative services team in a fast-paced surgical environment. This RN will provide comprehensive perioperative patient care across multiple procedural and recovery areas, including PACU, GI, Pre/Post-op, and surgical specialties. The ideal candidate will have strong circulating and perioperative nursing skills with the flexibility to support various procedural units based on departmental needs. Responsibilities Provide safe and effective perioperative nursing care to surgical and procedural patients Support patient care in PACU, GI, Pre/Post-op, and surgical services as assigned Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after procedures Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Assist with ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedic, Podiatry, and Interventional Radiology procedures Maintain accurate clinical documentation within
EPIC EMR
Ensure compliance with sterile technique, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols Participate in on-call rotation and holiday coverage as required Float to onsite departments or facilities within 40 miles based on skill set and operational needs Requirements Active RN License required Current BLS Certification required Current ACLS Certification required Perioperative / Surgery RN experience required Experience in ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, and Interventional Radiology required Willingness to work in PACU, GI, and Pre/Post-op settings required Previous
