Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Caregiver to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential support to individuals with diverse needs, promoting their independence, safety, and well-being in various settings such as private homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, and nursing homes. Your role is vital in delivering personalized care that enhances quality of life while fostering a warm and respectful environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your caregiving skills and contribute positively to our community. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe for any changes or signs of distress Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when required Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning patient areas and laundry Support patients with cognitive impairments like Alzheimer's or dementia through memory care techniques and engaging activities Document care provided, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care Requirements Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing home, or group home settings is highly preferred Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and basic patient monitoring skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is advantageous Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's (personal assistance devices) Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Excellent communication skills and compassionate attitude towards patients of all ages and backgrounds Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends or holidays as needed Join us in providing exceptional caregiving that truly makes a difference!
