As a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse with cardiac focus, you'll care for high-acuity patients, including post-procedure cardiac, CHF, stroke, telemetry, and general med/surg cases, gaining insight into a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center designated unit. Schedule/Hours:

Weekend rotations: every 3rd weekend

Holidays:

1 summer, 1 winter (flexibility—choose between Christmas or New Year's)

Floating:

May rotate to other med/surg areas No mandatory on-call; occasional low census (primarily nights, 4-hour increments) 1-2 shift orientation for seamless integration

Qualifications:

Active RN license with at least 2 years' recent Med/Surg experience BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required Competent in reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips Familiarity with cardiac drips (e.g., Amiodarone, Cardizem), sheath management, pre/post cardiac cath experience, and chest tube care Proficient with EPIC and telemetry units

Duties:

Independently manage patient care on a 1:4-5 ratio (Days), 1:5 (Nights) Shared responsibility for blood draws Collaborate with interdisciplinary support:

RT, OT, PT, 24/7

hospitalist Charting within EPIC, medication administration via Alaris and Pyxis systems
