Job Description

Schedule/Hours:
6:45 am - 7:15 pm or 6:45 pm - 7:15 am Block scheduling available, requests considered Every other weekend required, set rotation Working in a 32-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, you'll care for adults and geriatric patients with a variety of surgical, orthopedic, urological, and medical diagnoses—hips, shoulders, knees, and more. The unit employs advanced remote telemetry monitoring technology and provides you with opportunities to develop leadership skills, as travelers interested in charge nurse roles may receive cross-training.
Desired Qualifications:
Current RN license and travel nurse experience BLS and ACLS certifications Experience with post-operative care and medical patients Proficiency in titrating drips, especially Heparin; cardiac drip experience preferred Comfortable working with adult and geriatric populations Strong teamwork, adaptability, and a willingness to support charge nurse duties
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive care to post-surgical and medical patients Manage telemetry-monitoring and titrate drips per protocols Collaborate closely with remote monitoring techs and CNAs Engage in interdisciplinary care and lead as charge nurse if desired Maintain up-to-date charting and patient documentation
