Facilitate intake procedures for new patients, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and accurate documentation in medical records for state compliance. Provide case management support for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, and those with infectious diseases or trauma-related conditions. Engage in patient education initiatives focused on medical terminology comprehension, medication adherence, and self-care strategies to promote recovery and well-being. Strong knowledge of physiology, diagnostic evaluation processes, and inpatient versus outpatient workflows supports effective case management. Familiarity with managed care principles, utilization management protocols, and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA ensures compliance and quality assurance. Excellent patient service skills combined with a thorough understanding of medical terminology and nursing practices are critical for success in this role.
