Registered Nurse (RN) - Urology 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 1200 J D Anderson Dr, Morgantown, WV 26505 Full-time Mon Health 191 reviews Full-time Job Summary Within a patient centered culture, promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process and collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. The RN shall accept accountability, use independent nursing judgment for care provided by self and by licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel to whom care is delegated to achieve quality patient care outcomes. Provides physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families. Follows standards of care set by the WV State Board of Nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
Responsibilities Understanding Roles and Responsibilities:
Interacts with various members of the health care team to meet patient care needs and identify teaching/learning needs of patients. Takes responsibility for clarifying job responsibilities, including the need to understand performance standards and other expectations. Communicates with supervisor regularly to ensure that there is no misunderstanding about how performance will be measured and how expectations relate to the job. Seeks clarification as needed or when responsibilities are not understood. Willingly accepts change.
Job Skills:
Possesses sufficient skills to perform the job in an efficient and effective manner. Can demonstrate skills and knowledge in day-to-day situations, including the use of equipment associated with job responsibilities. Performs patient care as well as administrative tasks. Documents patient care services in the health record, administers medication and assists with procedures. Protects patients, visitors and employees by adhering to infection prevention policies and protocols. Participates in performance improvement activities as appropriate and assists with new employee orientation according to clinic plan.
Productivity:
Meets productivity standards that have been established for the position and/or department. Prioritizes multiple tasks. Completes assignments per protocol or as directed. Embraces new and innovative approaches that will improve efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Heavy Work:
Exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly. Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively collaborate with physicians, and instruct patients and their families. Education Associate's Degree (Required)
Substitution:
