Position Highlights 12-week travel assignment Full-time schedule Evening Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) 40 guaranteed hours per week Immediate start available Travel nursing opportunity Supportive multidisciplinary team Modern electronic documentation system Fast interview and onboarding process Job Responsibilities As a Travel Wound Care RN, you will: Perform comprehensive wound and skin assessments. Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans. Assess, stage, monitor, and document pressure injuries and chronic wounds. Perform wound dressing changes using evidence-based practices. Monitor wound healing progress and modify treatment plans as needed. Provide ostomy care and patient education when applicable. Assist with prevention and management of pressure injuries. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, dietitians, and case managers. Educate patients and caregivers on wound management and skin care. Maintain infection prevention and wound care protocols. Accurately document patient assessments and treatments. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning. Ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulatory guidelines. Promote patient safety and quality outcomes. Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) License Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience Recent Wound Care nursing experience Current BLS Certification Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Experience in acute care, rehabilitation, long-term care, or skilled nursing settings Excellent communication and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN, CWON, CWOCN) Previous travel nursing experience Experience with negative pressure wound therapy (Wound VAC) Experience treating pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, and chronic wounds EMR documentation experience Clinical Skills Candidates should have experience with: Wound Assessment Wound Care Nursing Pressure Injury Prevention Pressure Ulcer Staging Skin Integrity Management Chronic Wound Care Surgical Wound Care Diabetic Foot Ulcers Venous and Arterial Ulcers Dressing Changes Wound Debridement Assistance Infection Prevention Ostomy Care Patient Education Care Planning Multidisciplinary Collaboration Documentation Patient Assessment Discharge Planning Ideal Candidate We're looking for nurses who are: Compassionate and patient-focused Experienced in wound care management Strong clinical decision-makers Detail-oriented Team players Excellent communicators Adaptable to fast-paced healthcare environments Passionate about improving patient outcomes Why Join This Assignment?
