Hours/Week Position Overview:
An experienced PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent PACU experience and be comfortable working in Pre-Op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery settings.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Interpret cardiac telemetry strips as needed. Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams. Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR. Float within the department as needed between Pre-Op, Phase I, and Phase II.
Requirements:
Active RN License (state license may be pending at submission). Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience. BLS (AHA) Certification. ACLS (AHA) Certification. PALS (AHA) Certification. Experience with Epic EMR preferred. Ability to take call shifts and respond within 30 minutes.
Schedule & Call Requirements:
Four 10-hour day shifts per week. Night and weekend call required. Approximately 3-4 call shifts per month. Weekend call rotation approximately once every 8 weeks. Holidays covered through call schedule.
Facility Highlights:
Critical Access Hospital (CAH). Excellent nurse-to-patient ratios following ASPAN guidelines. No floating outside the PACU department. 24/7 Respiratory Therapy support. Preceptor orientation provided.
Important Requirements:
