Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive patient care across various clinical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise in diverse nursing practices will directly impact patient recovery and well-being. The ideal candidate possesses a broad range of clinical skills, including experience with EMR systems, medical documentation, and specialized care procedures, while demonstrating a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based nursing. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories to inform individualized care plans. Administer medications via injection or IV infusion with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques, ensuring patient safety. Manage complex clinical procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and ventilator management across inpatient and outpatient settings. Coordinate multidisciplinary care activities including discharge planning, case management, and collaboration with physicians for diagnostic evaluation and treatment adjustments. Maintain accurate medical records utilizing EMR systems like Epic or Cerner; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and documentation standards. Provide specialized care for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care patients, and those requiring hospice or palliative medicine. Support infection control protocols and sterile processing procedures to uphold safety standards within the healthcare environment. Assist in emergency situations by applying advanced life support techniques and participating in trauma or critical care interventions within Level I or Level II trauma centers. Engage in ongoing education related to ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, pharmacology updates, and emerging healthcare practices to enhance professional competence. Skills Proven experience working in acute care environments such as ICU, emergency room, or hospital medicine units; familiarity with Level I/II trauma centers preferred. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for efficient documentation and patient record management. Strong clinical skills in areas such as cardiac catheterization, dialysis care, infectious disease management, and trauma medicine. Knowledge of nursing procedures including phlebotomy, venipuncture, medication administration, aseptic technique, and specimen collection/processing. Ability to perform complex assessments involving physiology knowledge and diagnostic evaluation to inform treatment strategies. Excellent communication skills for effective triage assessment and patient education; experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is advantageous. Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA compliance and NCQA standards; understanding of Workers' Compensation law is a plus. Capable of working independently or collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across various settings including outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, long-term care centers, or home & community care environments. Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to evolving clinical situations while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality of care.
