Job Description
Role and Responsibilities The Human Services Coordinator will be the first point of contact for patients, staff, and visitors. This individual plays a vital role in maintaining clinic efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the administrative, medical, and clinical team in a fast-paced, confidential environment. Supervisor Accounts Receivable/Intake Coordinator Position Requirements Greet and check-in patients with professionalism and empathy. Answer and direct phone calls, check voicemails daily, check emails regularly throughout shifts, and respond to inquiries Schedule and manage patient and provider's appointments. Clerical Support. Accounts Receivable Support. Scanning patients charts and linking it to agency's EHR/EMR software. Maintain patient files and clinic records in accordance with HIPAA and 42 C.F.R Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Assist Accounts Receivables Manager in conducting financial review of new patients. Collect required documentation and verification. Assist in generating all patient self-pay, Medicaid, Medicare, and other third-party billing using EHR/EMR software. Negotiate client payment contracts based on sliding fee scale. Assist in collecting cash payments, Medicaid and Third-party payment checks. Post to the software system. Assist in Medicaid, self-pay and third party payments. Assist patient with Medicaid travel vouchers, including completing forms and printing necessary documentation. Create new financial packet for enrollment. Coordinate orientation of new patients. Maintain communication with waitlisted patients, as needed. Update waitlist patient information as needed. 18. Coordinate enrollment of new admits. 19. Complete all patient State required documentation 20. Enter all enrollment data into
EHR/EMR. 21.
Complete general file requirements for new enrollments. Including enrollment ROI's. 22. Liaison to hospitals for patient transfers.
Support:
Answer Office switchboard, direct calls to appropriate departments, check voicemails daily, maintain switchboard updates i.e., time, date, etc. Provide basic information regarding agency services to callers and visitors. Maintain visitor sign in sheets. Maintain structure of lobby bulletin board and general appearance of lobby. Manage and distribute mail. Manage and distribute emails. Support as necessary any projects needed throughout the office. Attend trainings as required. Operate EHR/EMR queue during dosing as needed. Other duties as assigned Job Responsibilities Related to Patient Privacy Employees are expected to protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with NDTC's privacy policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state laws. Access to protected health information (PHI) is limited to what is necessary to fulfill job duties. PHI may only be shared with individuals who require the information to perform their job functions related to treatment, payment, or other operational purposes. Employees are encouraged and expected to report any concerns regarding privacy practices or violations of NDTC's policies to the designated HIPAA Compliance Officer, without fear of retaliation. Employees are required to participate in HIPAA training and to communicate NDTC's privacy policies to coworkers, patients, and others as appropriate.
