Block Schedule:
6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Includes every other weekend
Job Summary:
Chambers Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable ER Admissions Clerk to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting emergency room operations by assisting patients, coordinating admissions, and ensuring accurate information processing in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Check patients in to the Emergency Room efficiently and accurately Answer and direct incoming phone calls Complete patient admissions to the hospital Coordinate transfers to other facilities as needed Use multiple systems to verify insurance eligibility Scan and upload documents into patient accounts Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other staff Provide coverage for other shifts when necessary Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in healthcare, admissions, or a clerical role preferred Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Reliable and flexible with scheduling needs
