Patient Service Representative 13606 North 59th Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85304 Full-time Full-time We are seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Patient Service Representative to join our medical practice team. This position is responsible for managing front desk operations, answering multi-line phones, scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and providing excellent customer service to patients, providers, and referral sources. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and has strong communication and organizational skills. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFront Desk Responsibilities Greet and check in/check out patients in a courteous and professional manner Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and authorizations Collect copays, balances, and required documentation Schedule and confirm patient appointments Scan and upload patient records into the EMR system Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Ensure reception area remains organized and professional Phone Responsibilities Answer and manage high-volume multi-line phone system Route calls appropriately and take accurate messages Assist patients with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and general inquiries Provide clear communication regarding office policies and appointment requirements Respond to voicemails and patient requests in a timely manner Referrals Responsibilities Process incoming and outgoing referrals and authorizations Coordinate with referring providers, insurance companies, and patients Track referral status and follow up on pending authorizations Obtain and upload medical records, imaging, and test results as needed Ensure referrals are complete prior to scheduling appointments Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 1-2 years of medical office or customer service experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification preferred Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred Strong computer, telephone, and communication skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Skills and Competencies Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Professional demeanor and positive attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management and problem-solving skills Work Environment Fast-paced medical office setting Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and computer use Frequent interaction with patients, providers, and staff
