Job Description
Medical office front desk supervisor and insurance specialist. Schedules and greets patients, checks patients in and out. Strongly prefer have previous experiences and working knowledge of insurances. Verifies patient eligibility and financial responsibility, collects patient payments on check in. Schedules surgeries and fills out surgery packets, corresponds with referring offices and surgery center. Triage and return phone calls promptly. Scanning documents, entering information in EHR system. Able to phone insurance companies to process denied claims. Provides excellent service to both patients and doctors. Previous experience in ophthalmology or optometry office preferred but not required. Must have reliable attendance and be at work on time at 8:30 AM, office hours end at 5 PM. Must be able to multitask and pay attention to details. Assists with keeping workplace and office clean. Able to perform light lifting up to 25 pounds. Able to type at least 25 wpm, you will be tested on this at the time of interview. At will employment. NO health insurance offered with this position.
