Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls and efficiently manage patient call queue.
  • Communicate effectively with patients.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Collect new patient demographics
  • Interact with referring physicians' offices to obtain patient information and referrals when required
  • Direct triage calls to the appropriate doctor or team member for resolution - Fulfill records requests from patients, providers and third parties
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years front desk or phone center experience in a private medical/dental practice or a hospital
  • Experience in a high volume patient scheduling environment
  • Experiencing explaining medical insurance coverage, deductibles, co-pays and co-insurance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail in all aspects of responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to multitask and excel in a fast paced environment.
  • Focus on completing tasks efficiently and within allotted time frames.
  • Ability to follow directions, sometimes from multiple sources, and determine priorities.
  • Experience with EHR software, MS Office programs and multi-line telephone systems.
  • Must possess good oral and written (English) communication skills.
  • Availability for normal business hours from 7:30am to 5:00pm.
