As an Intake Call Coordinator, you will play a critical role in helping patients receive essential respiratory equipment and support when they need it most. Your work will directly impact patient care and satisfaction every day. Position Summary Synergy Respiratory is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and organized Intake Call Coordinator to join our team. The Intake Call Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients, caregivers, referral sources, and healthcare providers seeking oxygen and respiratory equipment services. This role is responsible for managing incoming calls, coordinating patient and determining which department to route the call, and ensuring a smooth transition from referral to our intake, delivery and billing team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Answer incoming calls from patients, caregivers, physicians, hospitals, and referral sources in a professional and courteous manner. Ensure new patient referrals for oxygen and respiratory equipment services are sent to our intake department promptly. Schedule equipment deliveries, setups, and follow-up appointments. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in company systems. Communicate service updates to patients, families, and healthcare providers. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies regarding patient confidentiality. Assist with insurance authorization requests and documentation collection as needed. Resolve patient concerns or escalate issues appropriately. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of customer service, healthcare intake, medical office, call center, or durable medical equipment (DME) experience preferred but not required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record or intake systems. Bilingual skills are a plus but not required Preferred Experience Experience working in Durable Medical Equipment (DME), oxygen services, home healthcare, respiratory care, or medical scheduling. Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
