31 We are seeking an experienced
- Patient Access Specialist
- to support a busy oncology healthcare environment. This role is responsible for obtaining and reviewing prior authorizations, verifying insurance benefits, and ensuring patients have timely access to care.

- $27-$31/hr

- (6 months, possibility to extend) Responsibilities + Submit and manage prior authorizations for oncology services and procedures.
+ Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage requirements. + Review referrals, medical documentation, and payer requirements for authorization approvals. + Utilize insurance payer portals to review authorization status and benefit information. + Document authorization and insurance information accurately within Epic EMR. + Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding authorization status and coverage. + Resolve authorization issues, denials, and insurance discrepancies as needed. + Maintain accurate records and support compliance with departmental policies and payer guidelines. Qualifications + 5+ years of experience in Patient Access, Insurance Verification, Financial Clearance, or Prior Authorizations. + Recent experience using
- Epic EMR
- . + Strong background submitting and reviewing authorizations within an
- oncology or cancer hospital setting
