Outpatient Surgery Assistant (OSA)/CNA Washington Outpatient Surgery Center - 3.5 Fremont, CA Job Details Full-time $23 - $30 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Profit sharing Paid jury duty Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications BLS Certification High school diploma or GED Full Job Description About Us Washington Outpatient Surgery Center, LLC (WOSC) is a multi-specialty center, with five operating rooms and two procedure rooms, that operates Monday through Friday. WOSC has been offering its patients advanced surgical services in a convenient, comfortable setting since April 1986. We're looking for an experienced professional who can work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and provide our patients with the care and support they need intraoperatively. The OSA will provide care support under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse. The position's duties are highly variable, so the successful candidate must be willing to change direction at a moment's notice and keep pace with the other professionals on staff. Job Responsibilities Aid in post anesthesia room turnovers, patient positioning, etc. Routine cleaning of assigned areas and distribute clean linen and gowns to appropriate areas Perform general delivery service for WOSC and runs errands as needed Check/empty sharps containers throughout facility Assist in storing, stocking, and ordering of supplies in the recovery area Direct patient care under supervision of a RN (take vital signs, assist with ambulation and activities of daily living) Cross-train in other departments to help with staffing needs Required Education and Licensure/Certification High school diploma or GED Certification Current AHA BLS Certification CNA License preferred Qualifications and Skills Patient care technician or nurse's aide experience required ASC experience, (2) years preferred Ability to sit/stand for long periods; ability to lift 25-50 lbs. Strong ethical and moral character references Ability to communicate effectively and promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, and general public Ability to be punctual, make decisions, and solve problems Must be flexible and willing to learn or make changes to meet the needs of the Center Benefits Employer sponsored Medical, Dental, and Vision 401k with profit sharing Vacation, Sick, Jury Duty, Education Time Off policies 7 paid holidays + 1 floating holiday
