The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming environment for patients while efficiently handling administrative tasks. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including scheduling appointments. Collect and verify patient information, ensuring accuracy in the EPIC system. Handle medical collections and process payments as necessary. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and insurance. Schedule and reschedule patient appointments. Utilize electronic health record systems such as EPIC for patient management. Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining medical records. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care. Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record systems (EPIC) is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
