Job Description
At Novocure, every role contributes to extending the lives of people living with cancer. As our new Oncology Patient Support Specialist (internally referred to as Device Support Specialist, New Indications), you'll play a key part in this mission. As part of our Center of Excellence business unit, this is a field-based patient support role focused on delivering hands-on, 1:1 support to patients across Canada who are receiving Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) therapy. Field based in Toronto, this role is focused on supporting new indication patients, with the flexibility to assist commercial patients as determined by business needs. You will serve as a critical link between Novocure, patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers—ensuring therapy education, adherence, and compassionate support throughout the patient journey. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, strong clinical judgment, and close cross-functional collaboration to adapt to evolving patient and business needs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
In this role, you will: Plan and conduct clinical trial patient visits every 2 weeks Travel to patient homes, physician offices, and healthcare centers to educate patients on TTFields therapy and initiate treatment in accordance with product labeling Provide ongoing enhanced training and individualized coaching to patients and caregivers to support therapy integration into daily routines and achievement of usage goals Perform technical analysis, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and device replacement as needed Collect and analyze patient data during follow-up visits and provide tailored support and resources Conduct virtual visits as appropriate to ensure accessibility and flexibility for patients Provide timely phone, virtual, and in-person support—sometimes on short notice or outside normal business hours, including weekends and holidays Manage responsibilities independently within your designated territory, demonstrating ownership and strong time management Maintain open communication with your manager and cross-functional partners to ensure coordinated patient care and healthcare provider support Attend Site Initiation Visits (SIVs) to present the role of the Device Support Specialist Serve as the technical interface between Novocure, patients, and assigned medical centers Complete documentation in CRM systems, manage expenses, oversee equipment inventory, and maintain compliance with training and regulatory requirements Travel regularly by vehicle and air (up to 80%) to support patient care and service needsABOUT YOU
Minimum Requirement:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or patient-facing role in Canada (e.g., medical assistant, nurse, occupational therapist, or similar) Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 80% of the time, including overnight stays and commercial air travel Primary residence within the assigned territory (Toronto) with space to securely store patient support materials in a safe, temperature-controlled environment Proficiency in basic computer operations including Microsoft Office, Outlook, file management, and troubleshooting procedures English language proficiency (required) These additional qualifications are preferred: Experience working with oncology patients Experience in a for-profit environment Bilingual in English and French Strong emotional intelligence, empathy, and situational awareness Experience with CRM systems, Concur, or SAP Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules and business needsWHAT WE OFFER
This pay range which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting is 73,000- 93,000 CAD.
