Role & Summary of Responsibilities Keys to success: Be passionate about patient care, problem-solving, open to learn new skills, not afraid of a high paced environment and being a team player. This position will be assisting our Glendale and Arcadia, CA locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet registered patients upon their visit, triage patients through the patient flow process, and ensure a smooth experience. Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of clinical equipment, promptly escalating issues to the supervisor. Check schedules and accompany patients to the exam/procedure room. Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, and exam preparation. Maintain a sterile environment, ensuring adherence to standard infection control precautions. Prepare exam rooms before patient visits, clean rooms and instruments, and restock supplies between patients. Fulfill patient care responsibilities, including taking vital signs, updating patient history, and assisting providers in the exam room. Input patient data into the practice management system. Fulfill clerical responsibilities, such as sending/receiving/scanning medical records, obtaining diagnostic reports and managing the charting process. Regularly check dated materials and medications for expiration dates and discard expired items. Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and triage calls to appropriate personnel. Customer service-oriented mindset. Requirements High School diploma or GED.
Certification:
Certified Medical Assistant preferred. Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant. EMR systems (1 year preferred), vital signs (1 year preferred) Fully bilingual - English and Spanish preferred but not required.
