00 Hr. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Patient Access Representative to join our healthcare team on both first and second shifts. This vital role involves managing patient interactions at the front desk, ensuring smooth registration processes, and facilitating efficient patient flow within the hospital. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment while supporting patients through their care journey. Duties Greet patients warmly and verify their personal and insurance information accurately during registration Collect co-payments, deductibles, and other payments in compliance with hospital policies Enter patient data into the electronic health record system with precision and timeliness Explain hospital policies, procedures, and available services clearly to patients Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure patient appointments and admissions are scheduled efficiently Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation for billing and insurance purposes Respond promptly to patient inquiries regarding registration, billing, or appointment scheduling Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with privacy regulations Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and updating patient records as needed Experience Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly preferred Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare administrative procedures Experience supporting medical or dental office operations is advantageous Strong office experience with proficiency in computer systems and electronic health records Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to assist patients efficiently.
