Reporting to the Nurse Manager, this position is primarily responsible for providing clerical support for the maternal child units and works under general supervision and direction of the department director, manager, supervisor, or charge nurse, according to established policies and procedures. In doing so, schedules patient procedures and performs registration routines, assembles and maintains patient's charts, answers telephone, door and intercom calls, providing routine, approved information, relays other calls and messages, and maintains appropriate supplies and equipment levels. EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE

1. One year of clerical experience and EMR computer knowledge in a hospital setting, preferred. 2. One-year experience in a hospital Admitting preferred 3. Completion of medical terminology course preferred. 4. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
