Pulmonary Medicine Associates (PMA) has been treating patients in the greater Sacramento area since 1973 and is a unique and exciting place to work. With specialties that include critical care, infectious disease, palliative care, pulmonology, pediatric pulmonology, sleep medicine, and travel medicine, we are a busy practice with over 80 providers and 2 outpatient clinic locations. PMA currently has a full-time Patient Service Representative position available at our Roseville clinic. Greet and check in/check out patients in a courteous and professional manner Answer high-volume phone calls and respond to patient inquiries Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments across multiple specialties Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, and collect copays Update and maintain accurate patient demographic and medical information Manage referrals, medical records requests, and provider messages Coordinate patient flow and communicate with clinical staff regarding scheduling or urgent concerns Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Perform general administrative and front-office duties as assignedRequirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 1-2 years of medical front office, healthcare customer service, or patient registration experience preferred Experience in a high-volume medical practice strongly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and electronic health records (EHR) systems Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and remain professional under pressure Strong computer and data entry skillsSimilar jobs in Roseville, CA
