Monday-Friday, 8:00 am•4:30 pm Job Summary InSync Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Credentials Coordinator to support Medical Staff Services within an acute care hospital in St. Helena, CA . This is a 13-week onsite contract offering $27•30/hour . The Credentials Coordinator is responsible for managing provider credentialing, privileging, reappointments, and medical staff operations while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards. The ideal candidate has strong experience in acute care hospital credentialing and is knowledgeable in The Joint Commission standards and medical staff bylaws. Key Responsibilities Coordinate provider credentialing activities for physicians and allied health professionals Process initial appointments, reappointments, clinical privileges, FPPE/proctoring, and other credentialing functions Perform primary source verification and maintain complete, accurate, and compliant credentialing files Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical staff bylaws, regulatory agencies, and accreditation standards Maintain provider records and medical staff databases Support provider onboarding, including orientation, system access, training, and badge coordination Collaborate with Medical Staff Services, department leaders, and hospital administration to support efficient provider onboarding and credentialing operations Maintain strict confidentiality of provider and medical staff information Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of credential coordinator experience Experience coordinating provider credentialing, privileging, initial appointments, and reappointments Strong knowledge of medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and credentialing best practices Familiarity with The Joint Commission standards and accreditation requirements CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist)•Required CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Services Management)•Required Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities Preferred Skills Provider credentialing, privileging, and reappointment experience in an acute care hospital Knowledge of Medical Staff Services, medical staff bylaws, and regulatory compliance Experience with primary source verification (PSV) and provider onboarding Familiarity with The Joint Commission standards and accreditation requirements Strong organizational, communication, and database management skills Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Associate's Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
