Job Description

Patient Support Representative - Santa Monica Family Health Center University of California - Los Angeles Health United States, California, Santa Monica Jun 12, 2026 Description We are looking for a friendly and experienced team member to provide vital administrative support to our patients and physicians.

You will help guide patients through the complex health system and collaborate closely with insurance companies and physicians to ensure patients receive comprehensive timely care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Obtain prior authorizations Referral processing Address in-basket messages Appointment scheduling Review of provider schedules Review and upload of medical records
Salary Range:
$30.36-43.49 Hourly Qualifications Our ideal candidate will have strong background in authorizations, referral coordination, and direct collaboration with providers, ideally gained within a fast-paced medical setting, who can effectively navigate complex clinical environment. Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities. Ability to establish and maintain and productive working relationships with Faculty, Staff, Administration and patients from various social, cultural and economic backgrounds. Ability to creatively integrate competing demands into a productive working environment. Skill in verbal communications to clearly convey complex problems in both formal and informal situations. Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with a patient population in varying degrees of health.
