Job Description

Audiology Associates offers a comprehensive approach to the science of hearing, from state-of-the-art diagnostic testing services and digital hearing technology to assistive technology and rehabilitative therapy. Well-established practice since 1984. We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator for our practice. You are the "face" of the practice, as you will be the first person the patients see or speak with. The hours are Monday - Friday - 7:45-4:45 in Santa Rosa, CA.
What you will do:
Greeting patients with a smile, professionally both in person and on the phone. Answer phones, schedule appointments, return calls and confirm appointments. Making sure the office environment is warm, clean and organized. Prepare patient charts for the next day. Distribute and obtain the necessary forms for new patients to complete. Documents all correspondence, tasks, pending tasks, etc. in the patient digital chart (CounselEAR); this includes but is not limited to: reason and result of an appointment cancellation, ordering of hearing instruments, payments made/received, batteries given, need for a provider appointment. Confirms hearing aids and ear molds are ready prior to patient appointment. Request Prior Authorizations and referrals from referring doctors as needed. Review all referrals, making sure the necessary information is completed. Collect payments. Verification of all insurances.
What you will need:
Must be high school graduate. Prefer an associate's degree in administrative, accounting, sales or customer-oriented field or equivalent work experience. Excellent interpersonal skills both verbal and written. Ability to work with a diverse customer, colleague and vendor population. Detail oriented, organized with great time management skills. Good computer skills (Microsoft Office).
