What You'll Do As Director of Patient Care Services, you will: Provide leadership and oversight for all clinical operations and patient care services. Supervise, mentor, and support Registered Nurses, LVNs, Hospice Aides, Social Workers, Chaplains, and other clinical staff. Ensure patient care is delivered safely, compassionately, and in accordance with hospice Conditions of Participation and all regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the Executive Director and interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. Oversee staffing assignments to meet patient and family needs while maintaining efficient clinical operations. Ensure individualized plans of care are developed, implemented, reviewed, and updated appropriately. Lead and support the hospice Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Participate in developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and accreditation standards. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and evaluating clinical staff. Develop and facilitate clinical orientation, education, and ongoing staff development. Participate in patient admissions, visits, and discharges as needed to support operational and patient care needs. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement. What We're Looking ForEducation & Licensure Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. RN with at least four (4) years of hospice or home health experience within the past five (5) years may also qualify. Experience Minimum one (1) year of supervisory or administrative experience in a healthcare setting. Hospice leadership experience strongly preferred. Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR preferred. Skills Strong leadership and team development skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Outstanding organizational and time management skills. Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining a patient-first approach. Commitment to quality, compliance, and compassionate care.
