Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Bilingual Healthcare Call Center Representative to support a busy medical group. This role handles a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, supports patients and clinical staff, verifies insurance eligibility, and assists with appointment scheduling. The ideal candidate has prior healthcare call center experience, strong customer service skills, and is fluent in Spanish and English . Key Responsibilities Handle inbound and outbound calls in a high-volume healthcare call center environment Answer patient inquiries and route calls appropriately to providers and clinic staff Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Provide authorization status updates to patients and staff Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Take and accurately document messages for providers and clinic teams Cover front office receptionist duties as needed Maintain call handling times between 2-10 minutes per call , depending on call complexity Manage 60-80 calls per day Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards Required Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or medical call center Experience handling high-volume calls in a clinic or hospital setting Bilingual in Spanish and English (required) Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced environment Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Covina, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
