  • 10-hour shifts — Monday-Friday
  • Pay range includes per diem differential Boulder Community Health is seeking a Patient Care Associate where you will serve as a dedicated patient caregiver. Within our care delivery system, the PCA performs duties that assist the caregivers and promotes effective departmental functioning. Direct patient care functions are under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN). Benefits

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • A Certified Nurse Aide Certification or equivalent ie: EMT, MA, or Military Medic is preferred.
  • BLS certification required within conditional period. Responsibilities
  • Answers patient call lights and performs appropriate follow-up in a timely manner.
  • Performs morning and evening ADLs (oral care, bathing, etc.).
  • Assists staff with repositioning and patient mobility.
  • Independently mobilizes patients.
  • Empties foley catheters, urinals, bedpans, commodes, urine hats and drains
  • Assists in preparation of patient rooms and admission and transfers.
  • Follows patient fluid restrictions and calorie count orders as delegated by nurse.
  • Assists staff with repositioning and patient mobility
